Mon numéro de téléphone
Updated October 2018This is a lesson that works with Club Mystère.
After introducing numbers 0-13 in French, I created a game using the text book.
I photocopied pages 8/9 of the text book and cut out 6 of the 8 identity cards of the different characters. (I also photocopied the page so it can be laid flat on the student desks).
We practised the sentences
- Quel est ton numéro de téléphone?
- Mon numéro de téléphone est le …
- Il s’appelle
- Elle s’appelle
Then we review all the characters’ names by using “Il s’appelle” and “Elle s’appelle.”
Once the names are reviewed, I do a class test run with Luc Tetu’s card.
One person in a group of 4 or 5 holds all the cards. That one person says “Mon numéro de téléphone est le 705-616-3489.”
Then when the another student of the group guesses who it is, they say “Il s’appelle Luc Tutu.”
It’s a fun game that works as a way to practice or review numbers out of chronological order. It can be played with the birthdays of each character to review months and numbers.
